The Globe of Science and Innovation is a landmark of CERN, it seeks to inform visitors about the significant research at CERN. The structure is 27 metres high and 40 metres wide and is wooden representing Sustainable development. [1]

The Globe of Science and Innovation is an admission-free exhibition area of CERN. It is opened from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 til 17:00.

It is 27 meters high and 40 meters in diameter, which is roughly the size of the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
The Globe's only permanent exhibition as of September, 2010, is the 'Universe of Particles', situated on the ground floor.
